The
Santa Barbara Channel is Whale Central
Did you know that 40% of the worlds whale species visit
the Santa Barbara Channel each year? That makes our front
yard about the "whaliest" place on Earth. We see Grays,
Humpbacks, Fins, Orcas, Minkies, and many others including
the worlds largest, the Blue Whale, Add to this the many
types of dolphin and porpoise as well as 5 types of seals
and sea lions and you will understand why film crews from
around the world come to our little comer of the world to
make some of those shows you see on TV You can see it too,
in person, on one-of our Channel Island Hikes or Truth Aquatics
Dives.

are available for rent at the Sea Landing office at extra
low rates. No need to pack the tent plan the menu, buy

Kayaking
at the Channel Islands
Now that you are ready to go diving, may we suggest
another option for your Truth Aquatics vacation? How
about renting a kayak for a leisurely beach exploration,
a mid-day dive break or a sunset paddle. In any case
Sea Landing Dive Center at Truth Aquatics can rent you
a Kayak, paddle, vest and back rest at the docks before
you depart. You don't even have to load it onto the
boat, it's all taken care of for you.

Howard
and Michele Hall
In
September, Howard and Michele Hall have booked the Truth
Aquatics liveaboard dive vessel, Vision, for four days
of California's finest diving. The
Vision is the most spacious and comfortable dive boat
in California. Accompanied by Bob Cranston and two other
members of our film crew, we hope to capture California's
spectacular kelp forests with our new High Definition
video cameras. Depending on weather, we plan visit Santa
Barbara Island, Anacapa Island, and perhaps other members
of the California Channel Islands. This will be a limited
load trip. In addition to our film crew, twenty additional
spaces will be available.
Trip dates: September 12-15 (boarding will be at
10pm Tuesday September 11)
